Yesteryear’s Flowers

These modified photographs are of tulips in my garden in April 2009; I think that they are an Apeldoorn variety.

Too much work outside, trimming shrubs. Spending today indoors, hoping for rain to clear the air. But I have crab salad on toast and tapioca pudding with strawberries to look forward to as a late lunch.

    1. It was the best year for those tulips that I had seen. They don’t come up, anymore. Nothing bloomed at all in that flowerbed, this year. It’s most subject to the extremes of warm sunlight and cold north winds and snow. I took many hundreds of photos, that year, and most of them turned out nicely.
